We collect only the data we need to operate this website and run our events. When you sign in through ETH Zurich GitLab, we receive your name, email address, and an account identifier. When you register for an event, we store your name, email address, and your registration and payment status. We use this data to authenticate you, manage registrations and payments, and send confirmations. We retain registration data to administer our events and for our own statistics and analysis, and we retain payment records for as long as the law requires.
The website uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We use no analytics or tracking.
Recipients and Transfers Abroad
We share personal data only with providers that help us operate the website: our payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland), ETH Zurich GitLab for sign-in, and ETH Zurich mail and hosting infrastructure. Stripe processes payments on our behalf. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not accessible to us. Stripe may process data abroad, including in the United States, a transfer covered by the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate data protection.
