When and where?
23-25th of June 2016. We will stay at a hotel in Glarus next to Klöntalersee. A picture of the beautiful Klöntalersee can be seen on the poster which we have distributed around CAB. Exact departure and arrival times will be available soon.
Who can participate?
All members of the scientific staff of the CS department (PhD students, postdocs, research assistants, oberassistent etc.). We have a limited capacity of 40 participants. Please sign up in the doodle below (as soon as possible) if you intend to participate. For a very short notice we cannot guarantee a bed in the hotel.
What?
We will stay in the Alps for three days. There the goal is to get to know each other better, have a great time, and create research opportunities. Here is a rough draft of the schedule.
- On the first day we leave in the morning and we will arrive sometime around noon. After lunch everyone gives a short presentation about their research interests. The presentations should be 5-8 minutes depending on the number of participants. We have a beamer so you can use slides. In the evening we have planned some social activities.
- On the second day, if the weather permits, we go for a hike in the mountains. You can choose between an easy and a more challenging hike. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other better and if some of the talks from the first day interested you this is a chance to ask more detailed questions.
- On the third day we will go for a swim in the lake and leave at around noon.

Cost
It costs 40 CHF to participate. Everything is included, transportation, accommodation and food (except for alcoholic beverages).
