Hike to Gross Aubrig 2016
When and where?
On Saturday, 8th of October, we will go to a beautiful hike to Gross Aubrig in canton Schwyz. We take the S2-train departing at 8:47 on platform 31 at Zurich HB and will arrive in Innerthal, Staumauer at 9:53, where we start our hike. We will meet in or infront of the last waggon in the back of the train.

Joint summer hike with VMM
What?
We would like to invite you to discover the beautiful mountains of Switzerland with us (again)! We will make a third attempt to do the 5 lakes hike near Pizol. It is a very scenery, rather easy hike. After 4-5 hours of walking you will be rewarded by some cool beer or drinks in one of the huts in the mountains (paid by VMI! ;-). The hike will be a joint event with our fellows in the math department, VMM.

The 23-25th of June we had a summer retreat with 16 participants at gasthaus Richisau near Klöntalersee in the canton of Glarus. The retreat was well received by the participants who showcased their research and participated together in social activities. You can find the pictures here.
